Kim’s Singapore Blog
Off I go again! This time to the dazzling city of Singapore—a place where futuristic skyscrapers meet lush greenery, and where every corner is bursting with adventure and excitement.
Marina Bay Sands & Gardens by the Bay – A Spectacular Start!
Marina Bay Sands. WOW. This iconic hotel isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience. With its breathtaking rooftop views and infinity pool (sadly, just for guests), I was in awe of the Singapore skyline. Every direction was picture-perfect!
Just a short walk away was Gardens by the Bay, and let me tell you—it felt like stepping into another world. The Supertree Grove is absolutely mesmerising, especially when the trees light up at night in a dazzling display of colours and music. The Cloud Forest and Flower Dome were equally incredible—lush, refreshing, and the perfect escape from the city heat.
Sentosa Island & Universal Studios – Let the Fun Begin!
Next, I made my way to Sentosa Island, Singapore’s playground of fun and relaxation. This place has everything—beaches, adventure, and theme parks!
Of course, I couldn’t resist visiting Universal Studios Singapore. What a blast! From thrilling roller coasters to immersive movie-themed zones, it was non-stop excitement. The Battlestar Galactica ride? Terrifyingly awesome! The Jurassic Park water ride? Drenched but totally worth it!
Chinatown & Clarke Quay – Culture and Nightlife
After all that action, it was time to slow down and soak in some culture. Chinatown was a fantastic mix of history, tradition, and incredible food. I wandered through the markets, admired the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, and devoured some of the best dumplings and Hainanese chicken rice I’ve ever had!
As the sun set, I headed to Clarke Quay for some nightlife. The riverside was alive with buzzing bars, music, and twinkling lights reflecting off the water. I grabbed a cocktail, soaked in the atmosphere, and just enjoyed the vibe of this vibrant city.
MRT Adventures & Orchard Road Stay
Getting around Singapore? A breeze! The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is clean, efficient, and ridiculously easy to use. Every ride was smooth, and every station was spotless.
For my stay, I checked into the Marriott Tang Plaza on Orchard Road—a fantastic choice! Orchard Road is Singapore’s shopping haven, lined with luxury stores, malls, and endless retail therapy opportunities. The hotel itself was luxurious, comfortable, and in the heart of everything.
Final Thoughts – Singapore, You’ve Stolen My Heart!
Singapore is breathtakingly beautiful, incredibly organised, and full of surprises. From sky-high cityscapes to island adventures, cultural gems to nightlife thrills—this place has it all.
If you haven’t been to Singapore yet, do yourself a favour and GO! It’s a destination that will leave you speechless, amazed, and already planning your next visit. I know I am! ❤️
